DIRECTIONS We are located in the heart of the historic Mission District in San Francisco. Balmy Alley is world-renowned for the beautiful murals that grace its length. Just around the corner on 24th Street, Precita Eyes Muralists Association offers guided and self-guided mural tours of the Mission District. DRIVING: If driving to San Francisco from the East Bay, or from San Francisco International Airport, take I-101 to the Cesar Chavez Street Exit, then immediately proceed on Cesar Chavez WEST to Harrison Street. Turn RIGHT on Harrison Street. Go 2 blocks to 25th Street, turn left. DRIVING: If driving to San Francisco from Marin and the North Bay, take US-101 south across the Golden Gate Bridge, take the exit ramp towards Downtown/Lombard Street, merge onto US-101/Richardson Avenue, Richardson Avenue curves to the left to become US-101/Lombard Street, turn RIGHT onto US-101/Van Ness Avenue, stay straight to go onto South Van Ness Avenue, turn LEFT onto 24th or 25th Street, Balmy Alley is between 24th and 25th Streets. PARKING: The entrance to one-way Balmy Alley is mid-block. Street parking is not permitted on Balmy. Free parking is available quite nearby along 25th, Harrison, 26th, or Treat. Metered parking is available along 24th Street, along with fabulous burritos and other Latin cuisine. PUBLIC TRANSPORTATION: Take BART to the 24th Street Station, then walk 6 easy blocks east on 24th Street (away from the hills). Or take any Mission Street MUNI bus to 24th Street, or connect to the 24th-Quintarra MUNI line. 50 Balmy Alley
